Photo shoot with Katja

On Friday, Nash, Katja and I went to The Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa for a photo shoot. Known as the greenest resort in Malaysia, The Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa provided us an ideal place for the photo session as there were lush greens and the resort was located on a stretch of soft golden sand along Pantai Tengah.

Firstly, we started the session by taking some initial shots to test the lighting as it was 4.30pm and the sun was still hanging scorchingly in the sky. We took advantage of the plants and flowers in the resort, and we tried to blend in the main model with the natural environment. Photos of Katja and Paul Penders products were taken by using the natural environment as a backdrop.

Although it started out with a little awkwardness, Katja’s pleasant and bubbly character warmed things up and we got along easily. Her humor made us laugh and we gradually felt more relaxed and comfortable while working. It was fun to have her as the model.

We finished the first photo shoot before the sun set. Before bidding Katja goodbye, we planned out the next photo session that we looked forward to.
